Default cheap hdhntr finally broke down and used all my gift cards from my kids

even with cards can't buy anything unless deeply discounted so hit up BPS's annual sale by bringing in couple broken rods and reels to get even more discounts for real quality rods and reels.

One quality BPS UL 5.6 pole with KVD 3000 reel. Then really went bigtime with a St Croix 6 foot paired with a President reel.

Caught those crappie on pics I just posted with them and they are really enjoyable.

It’s unfortunate that BPS/Cabelas has gotten out of reach for some many,,…

My go to for last couple of years Bnm Sam Heaton SS UL 7 footer which I found on sale for half price. Woo hoo. paired with a quality smaller Shimano reel a buddy of mine had a half price discount on. So now I'm really set.

I know some folks get some really fancy, pricey equipment tho not sure why. BUT if it makes them happy? Why not?

I do have a 10 foot St. Croix rod with high end Shimano reel on it that a friend sold to me for a crazy low price as he was clearing out his many rod and reels after he got busted for excessive fish. Plus some BnM 10 to 12 footers for Long lining and casting. Seems I'm set for future. plus various other combo's which I have for guests.

BTW my buddy after he got over his suspension of his license went on a bender and bought a ton of St Croix rods and expensive reels. It's how he rolls

will have pics when slab has time to put them up.

You call it cheap but I call it thrifty. I always look for the best deals as well. Bass Pro prices are through the roof, even though I have one close to the house I usually pick up specific items there now. You had the cards so you made good use of them, should have many years of enjoyment with the new gear.

agree they are pretty high priced so I go thru academy at times looking for the occasional good deal. is where I got my Sam Heaton for half price and only one I have ever seen at that store.

BPS is high on most things and this march sale is where I always load up on jigs.
