Cold weather fishing reward
Hadn't fished since last Wednesday so needed a fishing fix despite snow flurries and below freezing temps. Tied on a couple baits that I tied that morning and headed out for short trip to city park lake. Caught some small crappie and gills and then felt a thump and biggest crappie of the year was hooked. Hit the wood duck jig in the picture and after a minute or two had it in my hand. Didn't measure but was close to 15" but skinny. Left after 1.5 hours with hands an feet numb and a smile on my face.
