    Default Stockton Lake Help

I am making my first trip to Stockton crappie fishing next week. Can anyone help with what area of the lake has the best crappie fishing. Thanks in advance for the help.

I wish I could, haven't fished it much for crappie or really fished it at all in about 15 years. I'm sure some local bait shops or marinas could point you in the right direction. It's a beautiful lake! Main lake can get crazy rough if the wind is in the right direction. Maybe search in 15 foot of water or so for brushpiles to start?

    Good Luck! Post results!

Thanks for suggestions. Fished in the Mutton Creek area. Spent the first day locating brush piles with Livescope. Found lots old fish on brush in 25 ft of water. Really spooky and after catching one or two the quit. Caught a bunch of shorts and only 6 keepers. Fished early the next morning with similar results. Caught 6 keepers and only a couple shorts.
