10/29 - Long Shoal Marina area

Amy and I headed out to broke in the new engine. We launched out of LS and drove down to Osage Bluff and back while breaking it in and then drove in circles backwards for 5 mins. It was fun, but not fun. We made the best of it and enjoyed a cloudy, warmish few hours on the lake.

When we were done with our 2-hour tour, we headed into a cove to get out of the wind and drop some "Just Another Crappie Bait Company" jigs into the water. We fished in 10-26 FOW producing 12 fish in 1 hours with a couple of keepers. The shallower we went; we saw fewer fish on the screen and less bites. Lots of fish way down in the water column. It was nice to be catching and not just fishing.
