LOZ 10-18 thru 10-22

Stayed at crappiejoe12's condo and we hooked up for the crappie bite Monday. He showed me 2 newly found brush piles that produced 30 crappie real quick. Crappiejoe12 was sporting his new 2021 Caymas CX18 and I was throughly impressed. Ultrex spot lock, side imaging, butter smooth ride all that jazz. Rest of the week I spent bass fishing and probably should of just stayed with crappie. I never really got on a good pattern but had a few chances skipping a horny toad under walkways early in the morning. Wednesday the first dock I rolled up on....made the perfect skip and here she came....the ultimate beast. I saw her back come out of the water and crash my toad. I set the hook...rod instantly doubled over...and then pulled right off. I checked my hook and sure enough the point was bent.
