Keith them potato chip fillets are excellent. Really my wife's favorite fried fish. Glad you had a good day out.

Been a winter of caring for my wife after her two surgeries or taking care of grandkids or just yucky weather. Finally had a good sunny day to go to LSL and ketch some crappie with my buddy Tom. Had to fool with my little sisters car trying to get reinspected after failing but the inspector dude wasn't there today! anyway finally arrived at lake by noon and tom and some friends had already been ketchn a bunch of short crappie and one 10 incher. When we say ketchn at LSL were talking about dozens and dozens and dozens of short fish but still fun to play with them. Wind was howling when I arrived and we had to hunt for different place with some protection. found a spot but it was mostly still howling but we started throwing jigs under bobbers. started slow and then it was on! Tom started whacking them when he threw close in and simply retrieved slowly, then I joined the fun. landed a bunch of 5 to 8 inchers and the occasional keeper. Loads of fun with the sun on us and around 60 degrees. after couple hours had to head back home but tom stayed and last time I spoke to him he had caught 30 more. I went by my pontoon to check on it and try the brush on the big lake, caught a few there but nothing to keep.
Needed to feel that thump and ketch some crappie after a winter of Trout. Sorry no pics as nothing worth looking at. tom took home 15 to give away to neighbors most likely.
Sounds like fun!
Yes beagle she is doing fine as far as getting up and around but still in too much pain. But the doc said it would take time for nerve to regenerate and pain to subside. Knee went better than I thought so it is what it is.
Barry knows what's it like to get on LSL and whack em one after another. we will do it again when your able.
Just catching fish is fun, hope your wife has a speedy recovery.
