Gar Hunt on Truman or LOZ

Not Crappie-related but I know you guys will know. My wife is OBSESSED with landing a big gar (Ok, I kinda' want to also). We fish the Osage and Tebo arms of Truman mostly and can easily fish LOZ Osage River too. Any hot-spots where they pile up and could be easily sight-fished?

It has been at least 3 years but used to shoot some nice ones up the Osage past where ZZ croses over. On up towards but not to Taley Bend. On the left in the standing trees.
There is a community boat ramp off ZZ on the right before the lake.
the gar were 1/4 mile to the right out of boat ramp on left.

Yes north of the crossover.

Pb 1 Go right from boat ramp. Little drainage below water pump for SP only 4-500 yds. We call it gar hole some 6-7 ft. Paul specials in there. Make sure to keep them they are not nice to spider rigging.

Pb 1 is on the lower grand glaze arm. Access off hwy 42 a little south of Osage Beach. Public Beach #1 SP state park

I bowfishing both LOZ and Truman. The bigger gar we shoot are just below Truman Dam on the LOZ side or Truman Osage arm within 1-3 miles of the dam.
They are really thick in the coves on Truman early morning and after dark. But seem to go deeper as the sun gets high.
