Yes they are, I use to catch those often while night fishing for walleye in Minnesota

Wish we had them down here. They are very good. Taste like our bluegill.

Bull Shoals has a few, I have caught a few out of Bull Shoals only a couple big enough to eat.

We can catch a bunch in Canada but size is the problem. We found that trolling number 4 flicker shads in Firetiger is what we caught the nice ones on. Night crawlers work but catch the baby ones.

That crappie has issues. Nice catch, never had any yellow perch.

We used to let them go while walleye fishing not knowing that they were good to eat.
