I was turkey hunting in the mornings, then fishing in the afternoons. Thursday ended up with 13 between 10.5"-13", it was pretty hot and heavy for a while, then just turned off. I was fishing around LORA. Caught nearly all right off the bank. Friday, got 6 bruisers up on the Niangua in the wind, caught them on bluff ends. Went over to McCubbins and got another 4. Saturday, fished from about 17:30 to about 20:30, caught only 2 until about 20:00 then caught 8 more nice ones in the next 1/2 hr. Sunday was tough, fished from about 07:00ish until noon and ended up with 6. Great 4 days off work, I had a great time. I also met another CDC'r, Marine4Life, very nice guy.
I do have one thing though. Saturday, there was pretty much no parking at LORA, about how many of those people do you think poses a DOD card? My guess is not all of them.
I would bet you are correct on the DOD card.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
That used to be my go to ramp. And believe it or not most folks were with or were military. I always tried to talk to folks at the ramp and being retired Army found most of the folks I talked to had some sort of DOD affiliation.
