There is a variety of methods but from what I have seen it is cheaper to pick up a used bow mount that is not too fancy.

Depends on how you want to mount it. If you can build a bracket on front to clamp it on its fairly simple. Remove bolt that holds head to shaft, turn head around and reinstall boat. Handle will be facing prop end. Works just fine.

If it's a MinnKota, I think you can take the head off and rotate it if the wiring is long enough. Cray on the MS Board can sure answer your question.

Yes, I rigged a MK C2 30lb on my bow. You can remove the screw that holds the head to the shaft, rotate the head 180 degrees, and put the screw back in.

You'll either have to make/buy a 90* bracket that bolts to your bow plate or clamp it over the gunwale to mount it. If on a V bottom you'll want to make sure the shaft is long enough, on my 14' Alumacraft a 36" was just barely so, and then only if I was sitting in the front of the boat.

Regardless, a real bow mount is much easier to use. I just picked up a Minnkota foot control 40lb on CL for 160, and you can find better deals if you are patient. The extra cost is well worth it.
