Don't seem to lose as many fish either when pushing.Just my opinion.

So I finally got around to try pushing crankbait as opposed to pulling. Went to the local conservation lake and gave her a try. I was using the arkie 220's with 2 oz. of weight running between 1.5-2 mph. Definitely a learning curve but I didn't do too bad ended up with 10 keepers in about an hour and a half. Plus a couple bonus large mouth (one really nice 5 lbs'er that was interesting on a 12' rod!) overall I really like this technique.![]()

When they are hitting short and your missing fish. Replace back treble hook with a size 1 or 1/0sickle jig hook turned up and you will get them in the roof of the mouth.
