I use the B&M 12' west point rod for pulling and pushing. It's a glass rod which has plenty of back bone for both. They are also on the cheaper side at around $30 a rod. BnM WEST POINT CRAPPIE FISHING POLE,ROD 12' WPCR12 SET OF 3 RODS B&M | eBay

well how did you do at Bucksaw and cranking? curious minds need to know.

I run PST's for my power trolling and now for cranking as well. You can't go wrong with them or the SCR 143t either though. I think the SCR's have the upper hand if you also plan to spider rig with them but some guys here in Mississippi swear by the PST's when rigging.
If your just getting into cranking then don't worry about costs.... you're going to go broke anyways. [emoji23]

Well after all that hubbub, and buying new rods, we caught our fish jigging, and only trolled for about 20 minutes on Sunday right before we left. No bites, but I was happy to play with the new equipment, line counters, etc a bit to get familiar with them for the next time.
