    Default LOZ this past Saturday

Took this gentlemen out trolling for a couple hours hoping to get enough for dinner and they came through. We trolled the mid-lake area i.e. Linn Creek and Osage channel without any luck. We caught these in a cove off the Big Niangua. We were trolling bandit 300s in various colors but anything with Chartreuse seemed to get the most action. We were trolling them 40-60 back in about 20-35 foot of water, water temp around 70, water was pretty dingy still. Not a lot of fish, but the boys had fun.

My Son and I fished around the 50 on Saturday. Four to six inches of visibility. Caught a lot of little crappie.and ended up with 19 nice ones. Most were in 4 to 8 feet of water and dock related. Had a couple spots that produced several fish but a lot of one and done. Chart/Black Rippertails and Chart/Black Minnow Head Underspins produced equally as well. Definitely makes it more satisfying catching them on jigheads you've poured and painted yourself as well as jigs & underspins you have made and tied yourself. Always a great time fishing with my boy.
