Stockton prediction tomorrow

Well gonna try it tomorrow around around Sons creek. I haven't been able to go for 2 weeks now. I'm thinking they'll be off the bank because of the rain. Am I on the right track if you had to guess? Stocktons had me all jacked up this year. Not much of a pattern I can get ahold of. I always seem to be a day or 2 behind the most recent report

well you ain't the only one having trouble setting a pattern, they are scattered and unpredictable. but I would fish the big cove south of the power line up sons creek, go past the point on the right and work back into the cove, 12 ft. of water work slow, if that don't work go on south and fish around the few trees up past the small dock. good luck, I have been getting lots of reports but not many good ones. One more thing I always catch in and around the power line the one with the big nest west of the twin bridges ramp, 12 to 20 ft of water small road runner chartruse.

Well Beagle I let you down. All that good advice and I never caught a crappie! I did catch a ton of bass. My wife did land one about 2 1/2 lbs which made it all worth it. Thanks again for the advice. I wish I had a better report. I talked to a lot of guys and no one was having any luck on crappie, so I didn't feel as bad.

well like I said it is tough on Stockton right now, there are some being caught but few and far between... but good days are coming, and soon. be patient .\

Have been a few times the last week or so and have NEVER seen the pressure (# of boats) that have been on the lake like they are this year. Almost like Lake Fork..... get in line to fish. That being said the jig bite is tough and I had to downsize and go deeper. 4 lb fluorocarbon. 1/16 white/ gn in 8-12fow. sometimes tipped with a small toughey. caught enough for a mess last Friday and a couple of bonus eyes. My old piles we put in several yrs ago are about gone. may be time to sweeten them up a little. Any one know a place around to buy minnows by the half pound or pound like we do in Oklahoma. Got some the other day and they counted them 1 by 1.

I fished the state park area last week. No crappie on banks there. Was catching crappie in deeper water. My brother was having better luck catching crappie on chartreuse road runners. I was using swimming minnows and was catching more walleye than crappie. Caught 14 walleye and 15 crappie each day. All were caught in 8-16 feet of open water. Mostly wind blown coves.
