The kids were up for Joel's 4th birthday this weekend. Bryce and I decided to try a real trip with Joel Sunday morning. Got a bit of a late start but bought minnows at Bucksaw and headed up lake. Was going to go way up lake but saw there were just a few boats in Jackson and stopped there. We tried to work bobbers on the bank with little luck. We were cutting across one of the wooded flats in the back and I caught a nice fish off a pair of stumps and Bryce did the same so we tied up and proceeded to catch 7 to 8 right there. The best numbers were on the wood but the best size was drifting open water. Fish were 2 feet below bobber in 5-8 fow. Jig and minnows worked equally well. Ended up with 12 before Joel was ready to go and we're off the water before 1pm.
