Truman shore...not much luck

Without boat for a bit so decided to walk down to Clear Creek and try my luck from shore. Didn't want to mess with minnows so tried a few jig presentations. Fished for a couple hours in the late afternoon. Couldn't find any crappie but got the ultra light bent by a bass. The weather sure was nice and the water temps were pretty nice. Very stained still. I'm sure the cold front will keep them out of the back creeks for a couple more weeks. Might be a wild Easter weekend!

Glad you at least got out for a while. I've been beating Smithville to death from the front of coves to channels to the backs and middle to main lake brush and haven't caught diddly......doesn't keep me from trying tho
