Fishy weekend sort of.

Went to the Osage to try our luck. Caught a few dink bass. I did get a 14" smallmouth. Tried a spot were we always get fish but didn't get a bite. Got a skipjack and cut it up for bait. No luck on it or worms either for cats. Gave the leftover cut bait to some guys bank fishing. Still think when you have Bass tournaments using the same small lot and ramp every weekend it hurts the fishing. Sunday went to Missouri. It was the lowest level all summer. Was starting to raise again. We had crawlers, hot dogs, cut bait and live 4" shiners from the pond. Tried different spots, different types of water,current and whatever else we could think off. Husband caught 0. I got 1 small bluecat, 1 drum, 1-7 lb smallmouth buffalo and 1-3 lb flathead. Fishing has stunk for us in the Missouri this year. Oh well it was good being out.
