Bennett Springs / Gasconade River:Report

Went to Bennett Springs and Gasconade River here a few weeks ago. Caught several google eye bass and prob 30 small mouth between me and the other guy fishing me with. Turned all my small mouth bass loose but keep all my decent google eye. Caught 4 rainbow trout one carp, a large mouth bass and several small mouth out of bennett springs. Buddy kept one of his small mouth.

Love Bennett Springs........ missed our annual family trip down there this year but we've been doing it for a LONG time. Can't beat being in the water when the whistle goes off.

Could it have been the Niangua River? BSSP is a ways from the Gasconade.

Bennet Springs..great place..made my stay at Ft.Leonard Wood back in the the late 70's very enjoyable.

They are 40 minutes apart we fished Bennett one day and gasconade the next day

I love fishing the Gasconade where the Little Piney runs into it. Those goggle eyes are vicious when they hit your lure.
