Can someone give a fishing report for Clearwater Lake? May make a trip over and wanting to crappie fish. Is crappie shallow or deep? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks

I took my 7 year old son there Saturday afternoon and caught some nice ones pulling jigs. We did our best pulling around 1-1.2 mph staying about 40 yards off the bank. The females are spawning out in 12-14 fow and they still had eggs in them Saturday. We did our best with dark colored curly-tailed grubs.

Thanks for the report Thenson. Glad you caught some!! I may try to fish tomoro if rain don't come thru, i've never really pulled cranks before. Is anyone catching any dragging minnows or jig fishing?

We were pulling jigs not crank baits. Good luck!
