Prairie Lee 4-28 and 4-30
Tuesday 4-28 between 8 am - 3 pm caught 16 nice keepers out in front of the docs anywhere from 11-18 fow, no fish on the bank, mostly male, and it was slow action. Thursday 4-30 between 8 am - 1 pm caught only 4 keepers, and it was random, really slow, no pattern at all, and again no fish were on the bank, and none were really out in front of the docs either, it was just luck that I managed even 4 fish. I'm thinking that the morning bite is not the way to go, so I'm gonna try the evening bite and see how that goes.

What was the water temp? I used to hammer Prairie Lee back in 2001-2008, but had the best spawning action early in April. Also you're right on with the bite being better in the evenings, at least for me it was.

Water temp 64. Last three years the bite has been hot when water team reaches 65-68 in early to mid May.

I've been able to hit it up late evening a little before it closes at sunset weekdays. I get there around 645 and get off around 8. I just started fishing the lake but the crappie you do find are quality ones.
I'm in a brown 07 lowe fm165. Usually bring the lil guy with me.
I've tried the afternoon bite on weekends and it leaves much to be desired
