    Default Truman help?

I'm taking the boat down to anglers port in warsaw for some warranty work in the morning. Hopefully they can get me fixed up in a hour or two. I haven't ever fished for crappie and it's been years since I've fished it. Any idea where a guy might find a few that will eat a jig? Don't have any fishfinders on the boat yet. Thanks

Looks like the bucksaw area is the place to be. If they get the boat going, I'll probably head that way to see if you guys left any. Are there any fish on the pole timber, or up shallow?

I think a little of both. We saw a lot of guys rigging and casting out in the shallower water with timber, but we mainly rigged water that was a little more open to avoid getting hung up and did good.

There are a few fish to be had with a single pole in your hand. 90% of the fish I caught today could have been caught off the bank with a bobber.

Ended up with 6 10-11" keepers plus a white bass and a short walleye. Seen several 14" plus fish caught by the riggers. The minnow bite was definately better than the jig bite.

Glad the boys at Anglers Port got you fixed up in time to get out on the water. What arm did you end up fishing?

I put in at the gravel ramp at the end of W road. I think it's 6-8 miles up from bucksaw. Fished the first creek up from there on the opposite side from the ramp if that helps. There must of been a dozen boats in there.
