Well usually they folks at the bait shop on old 54 are spot on and have never steered me wrong but they are saying they crappie moved in near the bank. I found 49.8 water in the old calfran (spelling wrong I know) cove. I fished rocky points, vertical jig, threw a jig, shot docks, minnow and float, and a minnow rig. I went to spots that held a lot of fish last year and nothing. I am putting cold beer on the boat today maybe that was the problem. I just had a bottle of water on there and they could sense it the last couple days.
How is the water clarity?
Good luck today. Thinking about coming down there tomorrow
Ok...
Found them this morning along with 50 degree water. Around the bend from McCubbins point.
2 to 3' of the bank about 3' down under a bobber.
Blue ice jig tipped with a niblet. Caught 11 keepers and a dozen shorts.
I'll post pic as soon as I figure it out again.
Glad to hear you got on them. Talked to my buddy a little while ago. Think we are headed that way tomorrow. Anybody gonna be on the water tomorrow between pb1 and pb2?
I will be again... Taking a sick day caugh Caugh.
I'll be solo in a white and silver nitro.
