Default Got to fish a little sunday.

We decided to take a break sunday and get in a little fishing. Since local rivers are up and mud we went to the Osage. The Gasconade was up and mud too. Got to the ramp and dang the lot was full. Totally forgot about snagging season opening up. Oh well. Went down to the mouth of the river and fished for a while and watched people snagging. Nobody got anything that we saw and there was plenty of people doing it. I caught 1 shovelnose sturgeon. Decided to try our luck on the Missouri and get away from snaggers. Tried a couple of spots and caught a few. I caught the sturgeon, 1 tiny channel cat, 1 tiny blue cat, 1 4lb. buffalo and 1 skipjack that we cut up for bait. Husband caught 2 small blue cats. Saw a lot of snow geese flying. It was just good to get away for a while and think about other things for a little while.

was a nice weekend to wet a line! too bad that wasn't a lake sturgeon, they get mean! a buddy of mine fished the gasconade sunday and didn't catch much so you made the right choice hitting the osage.
