I went last Wednesday and caught 15. 13.5" being the biggest one. I found the ones that were hungry were in the warmer water.

This is gonna sound strange but, I have been around this lake almost all my life, and never was able to pick up on a pattern for pre-spawn, spawn, and the like anyone fish this lake the last few years that might be willing to help me out with this? I don't want a honey hole, I want to find my own, lived in Texas and Iowa for the last few years and pinning these fish down is killing me lol. And most importantly, I would like a mess or two of crappie.
Thanks

I've been catching good fish and good numbers out of Logan and Webb Creeks the last two years. Look for MDC fish attractors and the fish are there.

And I was also using shiners. Not the Rosie reds. Everybody you talk to around here laughs at you when you use shiners. But my experience with the Rosie reds is you can catch fish with the but not the bigger ones. And right now they are stacked up in deep water. But the bite is real slow. Find the warmer water and you will catch them.
my issue is no boat. LOL I just want to fish and hope that I can find some bank fishing, my fiance is now hooked on slabs after a few hours and a 6 fish stringer that we caught last spring, that was the only time I got to go in two years!!! Thanks guys just looking forward to our first mess!!!
