Fished at a condo dock on 2mm today. Caught a limit but it was fairly slow. Slip corking minnows was best, deep water 10 ft down. All the fish were females that had loose or runny eggs. Don't know why they were this deep but it's a condo dock and there are usually condo crappie. Ok I've heard that the LOZ spawn is still on, it's over, and it's yet to hit full swing. IMO I think it's about over; however I don't think there has been much of a spawn bc the weather has been so messed up. I only fish morning until mid-day and have not found many fish on the banks. I think the males have probably been shallow for a little while and the females came up in the evening or early night when the water warmed up. Many of the fish are going to dump their eggs. I would like to hear some other opinions bc this has def not been a typical year.
