Default Nees a LOZ Mid Lake Report

Was down at the lake 18th -20th and found some pretty good action. Early and late were the best, but mid day was not bad if you targeted shade on docks. Can anyone fill me in on whats going on now? Planning on heading down this weekend.

Fished this past weekend in the Glaize and main lake at 20MM. Didn't find a lot of fish up on the banks yet -- a few -- but not a ton. Had better luck fishing brush piles in 6-10 FOW. Casted 'em first then went in to dip 'em. White/chart caught most, but we had several on red/chart and black/chart, too. We managed limits each day. Good luck.

Really hoping the spawn is not over in that area. Last day we were there had lots of runny eggs and that was two weeks ago.

fished around the 25MM to 30MM from 4/18 thru 4/27. Gotem every day but sunday the 28th. fishing steadily got tougher. never did sit on one spot and catch 1 limit. the fish are running nicer average size than I've seen for a long time. also I think the front coming thru really backed them off. caught them off pea gravel and over brush in 10 fow. hope this helps

my experience was, don't even bother getting on the water until about 18:00. Then beat the shore line. I killed them as soon as the sun started going down. Blue ic was the ticket, but Saturday, I caught more on black/pearl tube with chart head than anything else. Best action was main lake points where there was gravel banks or back of coves where pea gravel transitioned to rocks.

Got out Saturday morning and the water temp was 55-56 degrees. No crappie on the bank and the water was exceptionally clear (over 3' viz) for LOZ. Finally found a few fish holding off the bank. Sat evening water had gotten up to 63 degrees and it was on. Almost all good females. Sunday morning water was 58 at 6:15 and was 62 when we pulled out at 11:30. Fish were on the bank in numbers. Can't say that I cleaned a spawned out female which was surprising. This week ought to be awesome cept I'll be working.
