Default Stockton 5/3/14 saturday morning trip

Fished out of cedar ridge from 6:45 to 9am. Water was 54-55. We had all the law will allow on 1/16th pony heads with a Mikes cutom jig glow gray ghost color. Most fish were males and tight to bottom in about 8 to 10ft of water. Water is very clear in that area. Back off and slow down was the name of the game. Bite was steady but very light. Fish quality was good as far as keeper rate but most fish were 10.5 to 11 inch males. Didn't have any big fish, but only had to turn half a dozen or so loose.

Fishing with the kids is real hard to beat when they are catching and having fun too.

Just spent 3 days at Ruark Bluff. Didn't catch a ton of fish, but most of them were of good quality. We brought home 110 fish. A few bass and walleye, the rest crappie. Water temp is still a little cool for the spawn I think. Maybe after this week of warm temps.
