    Default Gr Glaize 3.29.14

Figured with the Truman CDC tournament, LOZ would be quiet......not! Pulled into PB and found a bass tourney in progress........must have been 100 or more rigs in the lot. Oh well, it was 1:30 +\-, so figured they would be off the lake pretty soon. Hit the mouth of coves for a couple of hours without any luck........felt like a surfer dude with all of the boats flying back and forth (dang, them bass guys sure stay on the move!). As expected they left the water after a couple of hours and pretty much had the lake to myself........in calmer water, found 30-40 fish casting over brush. Mostly keepers, with a couple of 12 inchers thrown in for good measure. Black with a glo chartreuse tail on a 1/16th oz orange head worked really well. Lost about a dozen of bugman's awesome jig heads........but caught fish so worth it. Water temp in main lake 43-44 degrees but did find water up to 48 degrees further back in the coves.

    Good fishing all.

Hey I know the feeling with the bass guys. We're I was fishing the lake is pretty narrow and they would fly by at 50+ mph. Sheesh! Great job on finding them and putting in the boat!

I knew you would have to make a LOZ run after all the good reports coming out. Congrats on riding it out and catching some.

Yea, pin oak was where I stayed most of the time. Probably lost the jigs on some of your brush........there is a nice school of bugman jigs on one of the brush piles.........if the water level drops again, you can collect them and sell them back to me! Good luck today.
