    Default Nice day-12/26 LOZ

Fished the LOZ today with my buddy. Brought 27 really nice big crappie home. A couple of them were horses.
Nothing fancy, dock hopping, black/char tube jigs tipped with crappie nibble. Bites only came from about 4 ft. down or less, jigging only.
Great day to be outside, fished in and up around the dam. Best bite was 11-2 timewise. They didn't smack it, most were just caught by feeling weight on your line.
Heading back tomorrow for a repeat...We hope

Way to go! Just curious, what area of the lake were you fishing?

We were up around the Bagnell dam area, about 4mm or so.

Were you dock hopping from a boat or on foot? I ask because I am thinking of heading down there to fish the big docks on foot since the little Niangua arm where we're at doesn't have many big marina docks. I always hear & read about the winter crappie dock fishing and gotta try it. I've read a lot of different opinions about fishing these big docks if you step out onto them. Don't want to tick off any dock owners, but I am guessing there are a bunch out there where know one cares if you fish on them. If you or anyone care to give up some docks or want to PM me with a general area with some walk-on friendly docks, I'd really appreciate it. I'd even drive to the Dam area.
