At least you got your line streched! Sure beats sitting on the porch. It WILL get better. Seems fishing is in a funk right now.

thought I would sweeten up the piles round the bdock and get 6 or 8 good eaters no fresh crappies since ks summer camp got the piles sweetened but in the 40 or so caught if I had sqeezed real tight might of got 1 of them to reach 5 in??dock has been poor since the spawn maybe the new brush will help-??most fish caught on bottom 12-14 ft deep had to be bl and yellow have not used that color for a long timebut it worked the last 2 days

Even a blind pig finds an acorn now and then.......
Black/yellow is just for small fish!,,,,,,and I can prove it......just read your post, believe I would have switched to red/ggreen just a thought
was down last weekend, seemed to me like they were drawing the lake down a bit. Don't know if that was the reason for the closed mouths. But the only fish I could find were under the deep confines of the docks. And at that, it wasn't a very good bite. The last two weekends I haven't got but a couple off of brush. I did hear someone say they were pretty close to the bottom in the brush. I've actually been fishing to the tops/middle of the brush, so maybe I'll try going to the bottom this weekend.
Any other advise???
