That's my plan this year. Make my own jigs and try and catch fish on them

It is a pretty neat feeling to pour, paint and tie your own jigs especially when they work

Congrats Jamie! It's nice when a plan comes together and it works out.

Way to get after em Bugs. 11 inch is a good fish in my book.

Good job. Thanks for the report. I haven't done any fishing on my dock for a while. Used to be the place to go when it was just to bitterly cold to get out in the boat. Now, with my catfish boat, the full enclosure and heater, nothing will stop me but solid ice and inaccessible boat ramps. Fished last Friday night until about 10:00 p.m.. It was so cold the decks started icing up but it was toasty warm in the enclosure. However, makes you reel the fish in pretty quick.

That would be a nice option for this time of year, the areas we wanted to fish were iced in so we went the lazy way and walked the dock, kinda nice to be able to turn your back to the wind and to have the truck a few steps away......went back today and caught limits with a few better fish mixed in,its not as fun as being in a boat but that thump still feels good and gets you one day closer to warmer weather.

Good work bugman! Congrats on a good day!
We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish
