    Default Tenn-Tom 4/25

Went Saturday from bout 2- 6:30 and caught 6 keepers...none over 13 inches though...all were almost 12 though...I used to fish there all my life with my granddaddy until he passed away about 11 yrs ago and this is my 1st year back....man, I tell you that place changes alot over the years...cant find em shallow yet...ones I caught were about 2 ft deep in 6 ft of water. Way to many dang gar in the shallows. I remember we used to fish brushpiles ..but, I cant find any ...dont know where they went.

Fished there (around Columbus) yesterday. Caught about 15, most on the smallish side. Spawn is mostly over there I think, but we did catch those up shallow. My buddy fished it on 4/25 and ended up with 15 that day too. Fish have been small over there all year, so we've been chasin them all over creation. Finally got tired of driving and going to stick around starkville for a few weeks.

The Tombigbee river was the first place I ever went fishing with my dad long before it was part of the waterway. I can remember catfishing the river than going and gettting BBQ on the other side afterwards.

    Default Tenn-Tom Columbus

I fished the Columbus lake 3 hours Sun. Caught 21 with only 7 of them over 1 pound. Caught tons of short fish shallow. The larger ones were deeper, 12 feet deep.

12 ft deep huh....I never got close to fishing that deep.....deepest I got with the jig was about 7 ft. I was in some 20 ft water too...maybe I'll try that next.
