I appreciate the input. I've tried to be a jig-only fisherman, but found myself getting fewer overall bites at the rez than folks with minnows. On my minnow-only rigs, I have red beeds, do y'all see this as good enough, or should I put a little more green on? I am going to try adding spinners. I've seen that and I like the looks of of it.
I also tip jigs, that seem to work pretty well.
bassnomo..... Just play around with it and see what works. What works today might not work tomorrow, so be flexable and willing to make changes until you find out what they want.
You can put jigs on one pole and straight minners on another and jig and minner on another at different depths, you have to just see what they want.
Also if the sun disappears and it's over cast sky's, more than likely you may have go to a darker jig, or brighter jig if it's sunny and bright sky's.
Pat attention to those things and have patience.
