If you're bank fishing, you might want to try below the spillway which feeds the lower lake. There are always folks down there and they manage to catch and snag a lot of fish. As for bank fishing, if your daring enough to risk the mud, you can walk/hike down into the back of one of the creeks where the crappie are moving in to spawn. A lot of folks actually ride ATV's to these shallow water areas this time of year and jig for spawning crappie. You can access areas that a boat cannot.
Let us know how you do.

). We kept 11 big fish and red/chartreuse was the ticket for us. They were hammering it as soon as we dropped it in the brushpiles. People fishing around us with minnows were not catching anything. I talked with two other boats that had nice catches of crappie and they caught all of their's on jigs also. I always take both...never can tell what they're gonna like day to day.
