Just bought a used auto pilot trolling motor. It is 24 volt. Can someone confirm the setup for me?
Battery a = positive to trolling motor
Battery b = negative to trolling motor
Battery a negative jumped to battery b positive?
Also, I guess I should put in a fuseable link? What size and where? On the positive side going to motor?
Going to be working on getting the motor on the boat...will check back in a bit for wiring.
Thanks!

Just another Crappie day!
You got it Rip. That'll give you your 24 v. I would put a fuse on the positive lead going to the TM. Most of the time you can find the owners manuals online. They're good to have. Just check the # of pages before you print one out....

i went to a rv camper supply place and bought 40 amp breakers for mine. put it in the positive wire.
for 24 volt.
run a positive wire from one batt. to the troll motor positive
run one neg wire from the other batt to troll motor. neg.
then make a jumper wire to go from one battery to the other. neg to positive.
that does not have wires on them.
