    Talking bay springs trip over


    we arrived friday morning at 5.55 am fished until 2 came back sat 6am fished until 5 and sun fished from 6 until 9;30 am got out of dodge headed home .between the 6 of us in 3 boats the crappie count was 118 but dont know what the total for sunday was because we left and 2 other boats stayed.the fish were suspended out of the mouths of coves in laydowns between 6 and 8ft of water.orange jigs working best under a bobber.water temp is betwwen 58.3 and 60.1 just wanted everyone to know whats up .this was my first time to miss.to fish not to bad ill say in 2 weeks the fish will be tearing it up down there.found some excellent places to eat here to like ritas in belmont miss. belmont cafe good luck and thanks for the hospitality everyone there is just as nice as they are here in middle tn:D

    How did you fish for them? Never fished Bay Springs for Crappie. but did fish it years ago for crappie. Sure wish they were in the standing timber there like they are in Sardis .

    found them staging outside of the coves on laydown trees suspended in 8ft of water .fished the coves real hard and never caught a fish.all the crappie we caught was on jigs.the water was 14 to 18 ft. deep where we was fishing

    also the crappie were full of eggs

    Thanks.. Were you spider Rigging? Or single pole Fishing?
