Default The Rez after work, with some wind

It was only 10 mph sustained (with gusts up to 18 mph) from the south this afternoon, so I decided to give it a shot. I caught only these two 15” females this afternoon, but it was still worth it—2lb, 3oz and 2lb,5oz. Because of the wind, they were caught pulling crankbaits along the rocks. Interestingly enough one was caught with the same brown/orange Bandit 300 on the 8’ contour going one direction and 15’ contour going in the other direction. I didn’t even try to spider rig or Livescope jig this time because I wanted try pulling crankbaits with fewer people on the water.Name: IMG_7341.jpg

If I'm not at work or taking kids to their activities, you might find me on "The Rez" fishing. If not there, I could be in the garage working on my boat.

I’m definitely not going today; it’s way too windy today and for the next several days.

I see they are full of eggs still. the Rez crappie hold on to their eggs a lot longer to me since killing all the vegetation with herbicides.

Yes, they do have lots of eggs, and they seem to do so later than I expected. I recall some of the ones that I caught in June last year on crankbaits in deeper water in one of prespawn spots still had eggs.

Very nice couple of fish. I’d take them home as well.
