Lake Lowndes bank fishing

Going over this weekend for a camping trip. Staying at the state park and might bring a rod and reel. I like to crappie fish but catfish aren’t too bad either. Just curious as to what I need to bring.

I haven't been to lake lowndes since the mid 80;s but would bet a ultra light and a 1/32 jig will get bit there . I fish Tippah, Lamar Bruce Elvis Presley and Tombigbee state park . A solid black jig will work to some degree in all of them . 4lb. test and you good to go . Expect bass, gills , red ear and crappie .
