I tried braid spider rigging and pulling cranks! Was not a fan! Absolutely love braid for single pole jigging! But I will stick to my mono for all other methods!

Less water resistance pushing minnows or jigs, so you dont have to use as much weight. Same for longlining.
What do you"all think

You will get a hundred different answers to this question, in the end it all boils down to personal preference. I pull cranks with braid, I single pole with braid, I use braid for rigging with mono or fluoro leaders and long line with either mono or fluorocarbon, sometimes both.![]()

I push and pull with braid, all other 10# Copoly mono- green.
Power troll and crank with braid, power trolling I use a mono lead from the weight to the jig hoping not to loose the 2 dollar trolling weight if I hang up.
All other methods I use mono, pushing minners I want to be able to break off if need be and I'm not concerned with weight slo trolling, 1 oz very common in my rig and don't be surprised to see a 2 oz weight on my poles when fishing more than 10 foot deep.
