They used to have big concrete minnow vats each one was prolly 4’x4’x4’ and they had two rows of either 4 or 5 and they would have flat heads or turtles in one of them.... used to love going in there when I was a kidQuote:

believe it or not when i was 5 i went to walmart and they had baby gar in some of the fish tanks i cant remember if they were trying to sale them or a manager put them in for fun but it was bizzare looking back
Yup. Went to Collins mostly though.
Had a "Mississippi " zoo at one time below the dam . Was down near the old run boat ramp . I was always amazed how many people bought night crawlers at that bait shop when you could rake up a couple hundred in a short time in that same area .
I remember it well.
Been in there many times, couldn't make it up those stairs now if I had to, just had a total knee replacement last week.
