    I wonder if the "Government Shutdown" has closed the lake..Has anyone been by there recently?

    No, but don't think it would be affected because it is a State lake and not involved with the Federal Gov't.

    Give us a report, Don. Think I'm gonna try a private lake I have access to. Cast some jigs from the bank and see what happens.

    I fished and used COE boat ramps on the 26th. No sign of closure at all. Thinking of doing an afternoon trip to Kemper today, no worries there cause it is a state lake

    The info I got was that they got their monies in October and the lakes and camp grounds are open.
