    Don't think you can build them ridged enough to remove the shake. If you troll with your tops close to the water surface you'll get a few in the water if you lean much either way. In a kayak I can lean both ways to add a little action to the jigs.

    Grizz, you're doing fine. I've been through 4 boats and 2 dozen home made trolling rigs before I settled on what's on my boat. I can't tow a camper and boat at the same time and don't plan to make 2 trips. That's why I went with kayaks. I bought the plastic rod holders for them since they are lighter than what I can build. Oh no, jacked.
