Mine has that info inside the vest wrapped around the cylinder. Also; mine is the Halkey-Roberts system. Others may be different. I'm guessing that is how long their tests show the bobbin to last.

It did have the bobbin installed. I have to wonder if possibly someone removed it in the store and did not replace it. I've had this pfd for several years. I never thought to check it. One thing for sure, they'll both be checked every year I'm now on!

I had to install the cartridge when I got mine from Cabelas.
I just recharged my two today, and removed them from the truck. No more accidental discharges, I hope!
When I purchased mine some of them did not have a cylinder in the package either. I bet people put an extra in their bag from the ones left on the shelf. If it goes off they still have to get a bobbin. So they only screw the other people trying to be safe.Quote:
