Well, Clifford, at least I got the radio swapped out. Gonna have to try this long lining thing next. What I need is to get Up2 Early to go out with me one day and prove to me that it works... Lol

You are on the wrong lake or doing something wrong. We’ve been seeing 200-300 fish days up this way. It works, but it’s just a short time when it’s my go to method. Boring as heck if you’re not getting bit.

Feelay, wish I was up your way. Stuck down here in the Rez till my week at crank fest. Pulled bandit 300, picos, and Arkie 350's, assorted colors....25 to 65 ft. Back, Creeks and ledges of the main River. 1.3 to 2.2 mph and all speed in between. Caught 1 keeper and one dink in 6 1/2 hours yesterday. Setting up a long lining trip with Up2Early so he can show me something new....I haven't caught fish since Clifford lost his cap.
It's a Major Mojo Mishap!
Slab probably could have fixed it already, but I think Thump has paid him off...
Sounds tough, persistence is key and more importantly fishing where the fish are. I'm thinking they can be caught on the Rez with cranks, but the long liners seem to shine a bit more down there it looks like. Wouldn't get to discouraged, I've noticed on a lake that the fish should be slamming cranks aren't really all that much like in the past. Others are keeping up with the normal routine and I get to go further south tomorrow to see if they are liking them down there or not. I will have my pushing rods in the boat just for backup though. Always prepare to be versatile and have the ability to swap up tactics if need be. Of course, you need to fine tune each tactic before you have any confidence in it, so either stick with them and learn them or move onto something else. One thing I've learned here is Clifford don't have much patience, if he don't catch a crappie in an hour he wants to go after stripes, cats, shrimp, or what have ya :Rofl
Ya dang right! I fish for whats bitin!
I've been pulling cranks for nigh on 50 years at Enid and Grenada, but ain't seen no animal like ole Rex when it comes to crankin'. I've got the utmost confidence in my tactics but this place is different for sure. On top of that Clifford got on my boat without his lucky hat and I ain't caught fish ever since...
I know pulling cranks on Barnett is a lot harder than pulling on the corps lakes, but I’ve thought they been doing great the past month+

I pulled this morning for two hours and had nothing. Then caught 4 really nice ones plus an ole bass in just a few minutes. I think I was too deep earlier. Keep at it Clifford.
