Today started off foggy as all get out, and I was not sure if we could get across the Rez. But, we took off anyway... And, then it happened... My sunglasses decided to fly out of the neck of my shirt, causing me to turn to grab them as I saw them headed off the back of the boat. And then my cherished Crappie.com hat flew off, and out into the water...
The glasses stopped on the back deck, but the hat sank just like that, leaving me exposed to the harsh sunlight which suddenly appeared out of nowhere...
That must have been an omen, but we ignored the bad luck, and spent the next three hours soaking plastic and lead... Our efforts were not rewarded, and the sole crappie and one small cat looked mighty pitiful when I had to leave the lake!
Lucky hat and mojo gone! I cannot believe it...
