Gulp! Crickets

I haven't tried in the last few years but I used to fill coolers full of bluegill and shellcrackers on the Pearl around the Ratliff Ferry area. Most every lake had several beds and were hardly fished.

We really should. I’m actually solo tomorrow. Two of my brothers and me used to make at least one trip a year to Ratliff ferry. That was before we all got married and had kids. If you time it right you can load up on bedding bream and single pole crappie and never move more than a few hundred yards.
