I HAVE LIMITED KNOWLEDGE OF UP RIVER . I WOULD RATHER FISH THE LAKE . AT TIMES I HAVE CAUGHT FISH UP RIVER BUT I HATE GOING UP RIVER LOOKING FOR FISH WHEN I KNOW WHERE TO LOOK ON THE LAKE . JUST SAYIN' .

I would much rather be in the lake if the wind allows it. I have some knowledge of the river but after it gets so high I don’t think there is hardly clean water anywhere. Maybe a few pockets far off the channel that aren’t fed by feeder creeks. After a week of high water and current I think it’s all mud just about. I have a few spots to dodge most winds below about 15-20 on the lake but past that the ride across the open can be just brutal. My last trip out I jarred the bracket loose that held the transducer cable to my Garmin unit on the stern. Found out when I picked the cable up in the prop while putting it on the trailer...... $250 oops. Lol
