Some good wade fishing but I've always used my boat to get to spots. They have 2 of my favorite ramps closed already and projected over 270 by this weekend.

Hurricane landing wade everything east of first ramp!!!
Wade at highway 7 bridge lake is at 7. Wade east of wyatts. Wade west of coontown. Wade east of Holliday. For that matter wade all 20 something miles of the shoreline on both sides. Your bound to catch something.
I got some waders around 6 years ago but to afraid to use them . Scared I would step in a hole or something then can't get out of them , lol .
Flench, just slide your feet as you walk. Got to feel that bottom.

I don't do it a lot but when I do, Tennis shoes, shorts, and always a life jacket.
Also, I always use a wading stick/walking stick with a rubber crutch bottom on it. Find one about 4 feet long. Once my hand starts dipping in water, I know I am getting to deep. Put a loop of leather on it for your left wrist and use it to probe ahead of you and lean on while walking. Makes all the difference.........
