I decided to go to the Pascagoula river again today. I guess the first time wasn’t fluke, because I ended up finding them.
I tried to just do the same thing as last time, but didn’t have any luck. So I started jigging deep wood and found them. Found them in between 8’-15’ of water right against tress and docks. All of them were caught jigging with various colors. I’d jig with a color until I stopped getting a bite, then I’d switch colors and I’d end up finding more fish.
No slabs, but some decent eaters, kept 9 crappie and a bass. One thing I learned, I need a net. I lost a slab trying to boat flip it. Also lost a 3-4 pound bass right at the boat when I went to lip it.

A NET IS YOUR FRIEND , GOOD EATING THERE
Thank you. BTW, I've never had a net in my boat. I miss a couple but not many. I've seen about as many missed someone trying to reach for a net as the other way around. And yes, I catch plenty of 2 plus pound ones. Just my preference. And I single pole with jigs only. Thanks for the info. Looks like a cool place to fish. I'm way up in Memphis but I'm always looking. I get tired of the wind on the big 4.
