The first time that happened to me I thought something was wrong with the trolling motor, and I guess there is, but the second time it dawned on me that the bridge might be blocking the signal. But my real question is, why the crap does it always go straight to high speed and straight toward the concrete? I mean both times it had a lot more area that wasn't concrete to head toward but no sir, it heads straight to the pilings.
I guess mine goes to 10 when it starts up the first time. I have to either think to turn it down before turning it on or be sure it is not pointed to the side or I have a good chance of getting wet. I have been real close a few times.
You guys need to all contact MinnKota.....the more that do the better....remember the squeeky wheel always gets the most grease
